Chills and Thrills

I think I can lump all of our chills and thrills for the week like this:

Chills--sick, sick people

Thrills--people getting well

Sheila also had a chance to catch lunch with her mom, which was a great time. It was also an unexpected blessing as Grandma was able to watch over Evy while Sheila went to check out Merritt's wheezing. Thanks, Grandma!
Earlier in the week, Debbie came over to visit Cranky Everett. Yes, she is brave. This weekend we also had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. It is just SO nice to be close to family.

Evy was pretty sick all week. We were supposed to visit Preston, per Everett's insistent request, this past weekend, but since we needed to stay home because of Merritt's wheezing, we went to visit The Family Dog: MAX.

Now, Evy, like all the grandkids, loves Max. Whenever we say we are going to see Grandma and Grandpa, the next question is--MAX?

We also were able to attend our new church congregation and were so pleased with how friendly the ward members were--we even had dinner with a family this evening and Sheila hasn't laughed that hard in ages. The ward isn't super humongous like our old ward in DC, and that pleases Sheila immensely. Everett is making friends and had a great time in nursery.

And, last, but not least, Erik bought Everett new shoes in under an hour and with only one trip to the expensive shoe store. Yes, it might seem ridiculous to share this, but many of you know the struggles with The Shoes and Everett's special orthodics. I think we've got the process down pat.

Bonus Picture From the Week: This is Evy taking a stroll.

Oh, what, what is that you ask? Why, yes, there is an AWESOME TOWNHOUSE for sale. Don't be shy. Take a look!
