I Wished On the Moon
Performed by Billie Holiday
Lyrics by Dorothy Parker
I wished on the moon
For something I never knew
Wished on the moon
For more than I ever knew
A sweeter rose, a softer sky
On April days that would not dance by
I begged on the stars
To throw me a beam or two
Wished on the stars
And asked for a dream or two
I looked for every loveliness
It all came true
I wished on the moon for you

Week 34

Dos, Two, 2, II: More to Go
Ahhh, two more weeks of bed rest to go. I've been behaving really well with few lapses in judgment--mostly because Erik is great to help me with anything I ask.
The doctor is particularly pleased with our progress . . . even to the point that I have to pick an inducement date AND the doctor thinks I'll make it to the childbirth class.
Erik is definitely more in touch with how far we are in this process than I am. He is making plans to have the firestation crew check the babyseat installation and bought a sheet for the play yard which has a bassinet we'll be using for the first several weeks. He also made sure to check out childbirth videos from the library and watched them all (just in case).
I'd like to share some great news or a great story. At the same time, other than the young woodpecker that pecks outside my window and the hawk I saw poop on the golfcourse, I am relatively without news.

Possible Big Event
Tonight, Erik and I are having an "Apple Tasting" event. We are trying out the new varieties of apples that have been showing up in the produce aisle (experience is complete with a side of caramel, of course). -See, nothing is really happening around here.-
We just keep repeating, 2 more weeks!

Sheila, Who??
Yeah, I've been out of the office so long that people are forgetting about me. There were two calls this week where they forgot to set up the conference call feature so I could participate. Erik thinks that this is a good thing.
