Chills and Thrills

It was a pretty busy week here. We were able to bask in the glow of Sheila's family on Monday before they flew back to Texas. (More on that weekend later.) Snow hit us and we enjoyed it. Everett and Erik built a snowman's head. Evidently the snow was too powdery to compact to get a whole body going. It was some great snow to play in . . . and Everett did for quite awhile.

Everett has been developing some special fashion skills with his shirt. Here we have him showing off two styles he practices all the time. (We were lucky and opened some presents from Aunt Megan this week!)

Everett also had a great time with some Cheese Whiz that we were going to use at an 80s party but never did. We couldn't figure out if he was mimicking mom putting on make-up or dad using shaving cream.

Erik is busy working on the house getting it ready to sell. We've got our list and we are basically on to the stuff that needs to happen outside. We need warm weather to stick around so that we can do that. We are also beginning to pack. We're deciding what we'll need for our first two weeks in Texas and what we'll need for the next six months. The rest of our stuff will go into permanent storage and we won't be able to see that stuff for awhile. We have two more days to get everything done because then the movers come!

Sheila is still experiencing some pretty tough sleep deprivation. She thought that the past year and a half was rough, but she was wrong. The past two months have been grueling. It has only been this week that she hasn't felt on the verge of insanity with an impending break-down happening at a moment's notice. Her poor family has fielded the hysteria which either sounded like a high-pitched train whistle or sobs. She will be grateful when she is in their apartment in Texas. BTW, the number to their apartment is 911. Yeah, 911. Go figure.

Everett has had a pretty rough time. The past day was much better and we hope that it continues.

Merritt is a joy. He is still colicky, but the hours of crying are more like 8-11 these days. He is growing, growing, growing. At 2 months, he fits most 3-6 month outfits. We'll have his two month update posted soon.

In all, despite being pretty stretched, we feel very blessed.
