Everett at 5 Months

Stats
Weight: 19 lbs and 4 ounces

12 month clothes

Giggling ALL the time

As you might remember, the bear is about how long Everett was when he was born. He is definitely getting taller.

Hold On Tight

Everett refused to give me the bear . . . he was holding on so tight! He loves to stand (with assistance), is still kicking, and has a vice-like grip.

His Newest Trick

Everett has figured out that the camera does something (that isn't the trick) and so he gets this concerned look, often, when taking pictures. THE TRICK is that during his nap or when he wakes up (so far we haven't witness the trick) he always takes off his right sock. Just like his Pa (Erik's dad).

Everett, since he is teething, always has his hands in his mouth. He's working up a college party trick of being able to put his whole fist in his mouth.

Good luck, Everett!

Let's Get a Smile From Him

(Dad helped me distract Everett from looking at the camera so that we could get a grin.)

He is constantly figuring things out. He especially loves this red block (it has a bell in it). His other favorites include Eric Carle's A Very Quiet Cricket, his Noah "lift the flap" book, and Kittens Are Like That.

Everett Hosts a Picnic in His Room

This past rainy Saturday Everett had us over for a picnic.
The following shots show just how much fun he had.

Now, Everybody Say, "Aaahhhhh . . ."

Our Jolly Giant Goes Green . . . Beans

It is time for those "first food" shots!

I don't . . . know . . . about . . . this.

I REALLY don't know about this.

Could we, maybe, have started with something like bananas instead? Or applesauce? I bet I'd love applesauce. Or icecream? I bet I could have gotten Dad to give me icecream.

Actually, this isn't half bad.

I could . . . maybe . . . get the hang of this green stuff.

YUMMERS!

Dad! Are you *still* taking pictures?

Sjolseths Go Walking

Check Out The Sjolseths!
We've started experiencing warmer weather and decided to venture out to enjoy it.

(You can tell the outfits were coordinated *very* carefully.)

In the picture below, he is wearing the same hat . . . what a difference a couple of months make!

Devilishly Disheveled Deacon

At a recent church service, Everett debuted his
"Devilishly Disheveled Deacon" tie outfit.

Churchgoers were all atwitter at how "ready to pass the sacrament like the Deacons" Everett looked as he pulled on, twisted, chewed on, and drooled all over his tie.

This shot also provides the debut of his bumbo seat (which makes eating rice cereal in the morning much easier until he can sit-up on his own).

After afternoon services, despite refusing to eat and sleep because of how exciting church was, Everett was happy as usual gracing Mom and Dad will smiles and giggles galore.
